I've been gone for a long time, and my apologies for that.
There has been a lot of thinking going on as I have trasitioned from one place to another, both physically and mentally, as well as spiritually.
Finding the time to reflect on your own thoughts is very difficult in this world; especially when you have to provide for yourself and others. This could very well be the intention of those who have made our world the way it is today. One is so busy trying simply to "make ends meat" that we have no time to think about the world around us. Nor do we want to or feel we have to.
We have reached a point in society where science has "figured out everything." In all honesty, I find it amazing that we have figured anything out at all. Are we the first creatures and beings to KNOW where we came from and HOW we came to be what we are? How the Earth formed; the mountains, the oceans, the creatures and the plants. We know how these things interact, how they benefit one another and the purpose of each thing.
But this world is so vast. And science changes all the time. The simple fact is we have only scratched the surface of who we are. What we are capable of. And even how we have come to be. Could our societies, our way of life, be much MUCH older than what we were taught in school? Could the Earth have tried this whole "human beings" thing before?
I hold these thoughts inside for fear of being told I'm crazy, but I have been reading (or being read to) and am finding facts that support these thoughts. All of it makes sense, as this world is forever changing.
Random thoughts for a random person:
I am a vegetarian by choice for awhile. I am trying to test my will and appreciation for my food; arguably my own life.
**People say they choose to be vegetarian for animal rights, or to not eat a living thing...But is a plant not a living thing? Is it that you value animal life over plant life? Or are you justifying your actions to yourself? Everything is a living thing. One is no more important than the other. However, there is a whole other post to come about being aware of where your food comes from and how it has been treated to get to your plate.**
Life is important, and everything has life. "Oh, that's silly. Rocks don't have lives. Plants don't live like animals do. They certainly can't FEEL like we can." And to you, I say you are wrong! Are you telling me that this WHOLE WORLD does not think and feel? That is is just here for us to live on and not interact with? Not CARE FOR?
I have a book for you, and possibly some studies to share soon - plants feel fear. Unfertilized eggs react to boiling water/heat when you cook them.
Water is effected by both positive and negative energy, imagine what we are doing to our own bodies; our planet. Both of these things are primarily water.
Thank your food. Thank the Earth for its continued existance. Let your food know what it is being used for - to sustain you and help you through your day. It's like a suprise. Sometimes they can be good, but generally, when you have a warning of even a horrific thing (like your death) it can come to you a little easier just knowing that it would happen. But I digress. This whole update is a digresstion really.
But think about it. Try it. Try explaining to your food while you are preparing it that it is helping you live. Tell me if you can taste a difference in your food. Tell me if you can feel it making you stronger, better, healthier.
Or really, just take the time to realize that your actions and choices are directly reflected in your own body.
Or even, just be thankful for what you have. Life is a lot easier when you take the time to be thankful; Remember, it could always be much much worse.
ICE AGE! ^_^
